A six-year-old Wolverhampton boy has put adult football pundits, including his father, to shame by coming joint top in a fantasy football competition.
Christopher Gallagher, of Claregate, chose a team in the league run by Old Wulfrunians FC in Castlecroft where his father is a member.
Out of 94 entrants, the pupil at St Christopher's Primary School, Codsall, came joint first and won £67.
His mother Julia said he had spent hours pouring over players' details to come up with his ideal team. "He is just mad on football, he knows all the players and all the teams," she said.
"Halfway through the season they were allowed to transfer players and so he looked at them all again and I think that was what won it for him."
Mrs. Gallagher said the other entrants were a bit put out, including his father who finished 18th.
Wolves fan Christopher has bought some boxing gloves and a punch bag with his winnings, and will also get a new football strip.
